黃志明博士 Dr.Tong Wong

Dr. Wong is a highly experienced clinical psychologist recognized by the Department of Health Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Psychological Society. With over 25 years of service in the Hospital Authority, he specializes in diagnosing, assessing, and treating adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Currently, he practices privately and is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

Education and Career

Dr. Wong earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995, qualifying as a clinical psychologist. In 2010, he completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the same institution. His career began at the Correctional Services Department, followed by extensive work at the Hospital Authority in various departments, including:

He trained with ACT pioneers Dr. Steven Hayes and Dr. Robyn Walser, applying ACT effectively for mental, emotional, and medical-related psychological issues. Additionally, he trained in mindfulness-based therapy with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Academic and Community Engagement

Since 2023, Dr. Wong has been the Vice-Chairman of the Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society. He promotes mental health education and evidence-based psychotherapy, serving as an honorary clinical supervisor at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and as an honorary psychotherapy supervisor at the United Christian Hospital.

Dr. Wong has published research in international journals and co-authored Chinese books. He provides training for universities, educational institutions, NGOs, and professional groups, and hosts lectures and workshops on mental health, stress management, and emotion management.
